Dr. Austin Teitelbaum, originally from Ft Worth, Texas, attended Texas Christian University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a minor in Spanish. Following graduation, he moved to Houston to attend the University of Texas School of Dentistry. While in Houston he developed an interest in diseases of the periodontium and oral rehabilitation. After obtaining his doctor of dental surgery degree in Houston, his interests led him to pursue specialty training in Periodontics at Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans. Here he advanced his knowledge by completing the three-year specialty training program in Periodontics, with a heavy emphasis on dental implant surgery.
When not treating patients, Dr. Teitelbaum enjoys spending time with his wife and their children. His other interests include snowboarding, college football and wood working.
